September 10, 2004: Sorry for the lack of updates, we have been busy with shutting down and taking short breaks before the fall action begins. There are still a few guests at the outposts and in about a week the Moose hunters are coming up. It’s been a cold, wet and windy summer so the Moose should be in the right frame of mind for the hunters. The Lake Trout have already come up at God’s Lake and we’re busy there with some Lake Trout enthusiasts who are enjoying the shallow water action.

My dad (Brian), Greg and I went to BC for a Salmon fishing trip as we’ve always wanted to catch one of them. We had a very successful trip and we got to see how other people run their camps. The wildlife was just as amazing as the fishing as we were able to see 1000 pound sea lions, sea otters, harbor seals, whales, porpoises and bears (although I had enough bears at Bolton this year.) We were on a floating lodge just off the West Coast of Vancouver Island towards the North end. If you’re interested in where we went, please call me and I’ll put you in contact with them.

I also spent about 6 hours fishing the Red River just north of Winnipeg and became a specialist in one day! I caught about 18 Cats (I lost count) and 7 of them were trophies, over 18 pounds! If you have some time to spend in Winnipeg before or after your trips with us, I can put you in contact with a great guide. I highly recommend it.

The Newsletter is nearly complete so I hope the printer will be able to get it out by about mid October and to the guests before the end of October.

2005 bookings are the best I’ve seen in 5 years! Please do not hesitate to call or your spot could be gone!

Here are some pictures from the BC trip, my day Catfishing and a few last minute pictures sent in by guests.
