January 26th, 2005: I did not mention in my previous bulletin, the show is called Outdoor Passions, I hope a lot of people will watch!

The shows have been very good to us this year. It’s always great to see old guests and it’s also great to hear of how they enjoyed their trips and plan to return. At one show I ran into a guest who I guided back in 1992 when I was first getting started. He had not been back to Canada since and this year he’s going to be back in July for a 7 day trip. Bolton Lake sure has changed in the past 15 years, an all weather strip that can accommodate the 40 passenger Dash 7 aircraft, an entirely new lodge and only one remaining original cabin from when my father bought the lodge in 1988, three great outpost camps, all new 18 foot deluxe fishing boats, Moose and Bear Hunts and a great new location on the lake to make everything a bit easier for us and more importantly our guests.

I’m in town while Greg is in Madison and Green Bay this week and I’ll meet back up with him for the long drive to the Cleveland show starting next week. I managed to sneak away from the office yesterday afternoon to get some ice fishing in on the Red River. I only caught a couple of small saugers, but my fishing partner, Chris caught a real nice 26 incher pictured below.
