Bolton Lake Lodge is now offering Moose, Bear, Wolf and Combination Hunts! After 3 years of test hunting including a very successful season in 2007 where we were 100% on Bear hunts and 75% on Moose hunts, we have concluded that we have a very productive area and great staff to provide successful hunts.

Your Moose hunting guide calls the big bulls to the water’s edge and when you hear that bull call back, thrash the bush and break some branches your heart will be pounding through your chest! Once your bull is down, we quarter it and cape it out ready for a full head mount. We have hanging and freezing facilities at the lodge so that your meat is well cared for and
ready for you to take it home. Wolves can be taken with an unused moose license, and you have the option of purchasing a bear tag or you can just enjoy some spectacular fishing after you’ve taken your animal.

We offer both spring and fall hunts for Bear at Bolton Lake, your Bear hunt takes place at baited sites where you have a great opportunity for color phase cinnamon bears and/or a giant black bear. Tree stands and ground blinds are all set up within bow hunting range. Trail cameras are set up at some of the stands so that we can determine the best stand for you to spend your time. A wolf can also be taken with an unused bear tag, and after your hunt you can enjoy fantastic spring or fall fishing. Your bear hide will be skinned and ready for your choice of taxidermist.

All trips begin in Winnipeg where you board a chartered twin engine plane for a 90 minute flight to Bolton Lake. Bolton Lake Lodge is the only lodge on the lake, there are no roads or communities anywhere near Bolton Lake so the area is basically untouched when it comes to hunting pressure. There’s no roughing it at Bolton Lake, you’re in a private cabin with all the amenities and you’re eating very hearty home cooked meals prepared by our cook. In Manitoba it is mandatory for big game hunters to have a certified guide except while the hunter is in a tree stand or blind, therefore your certified guide is included in all of our packages.
